feelings hurt, emotionally drained
that is how I feel today. ughh, I let things get to me way to often and it hurts. Why can't I have a tougher skin? I swear I am just like my mother. We also tend to hold things in, like feelings. This could explain why I have had stomach ulcers.

More quilt pics
What ever you do, DO NOT leave your 2yr old unattended!
Either I am in a state of shock, or my Lexapro works really well.
While I was working on the quilt, John John was up in my bedroom watching a DVD. He is usually very good while a movie is on and I expected him to fall asleep.
Well, you know the phrase "a little too quiet", yeah, it was way too quiet.
I go up to my bedroom and out of my bathroom runs a cloud of dust, that bolts underneath a blankie. I peek in my bathroom and my jaw hit the floor.
John John decided to get in my vanity and play makeup, with my makeup. He dumped all of my powder out onto my chair, vanity and floor, probably walked in it and fingerpainted. He also took my eyeliner and lipliner and drew on his face.
I'm not really sure what else he got into, it was all a mess, there is no telling.
I'm sure I will look back and think 'I wish I would've got some pictures of him' but at the time the only thing that crossed my mind was 'Where is the belt???'

My Cloth Diaper Obsession
Yes, it has become an obsession. I love seeing my little boy in such cute fluff. (Fluff is the 'lingo' used to describe a cloth diaper)
It's so fun to see the expressions on people's faces when I tell them I cloth diaper. It's like a cross between a 'Why?' and an 'Ewww!'
I took the boys to the YMCA the other day when I went to workout and as I dropped them off in the Kidzone, I explained that Joshua was cloth diapered. Before I could even get to explain how to change him, I got the inevitable 'We don't allow cloth diapers...yata yata, health hazard, messy, etc."
After a pause that seemed like forever, I realized they must not know about current cloth. So I whipped out one of my Happy Heiny diapers. Holy Crap! You would've thought I handed them a cute little puppy or something, they were all ohhhing and ahhing over this thing. So, once they realized that Joshua's poop wasn't going to jump out of his diaper and grab them, they were all for the cloth.
Now for some cute cloth pics....cause he is so stinkin' cute!

Gone Quilting
I started on a quilt for Aliya this week. She is obsessed with Super Mario Brothers. So much so that she is going as Princess Peach for Halloween and the boys will be Mario and Luigi.
Anyways, a friend found the pattern online and I thought it would be a perfect Christmas present for her. Well, the original pattern called for about a zillion 2" squares. After cutting and sewing for about 2 hours, and only getting about a 6" square done, I axed that.

So, I changed the pattern to be one Mario, instead of the original 4 Marios on the pattern. I am using 4" squares now, so it is going alot faster.

By the way, I really suck at quilting, so this is by far not the best quilt, but it should be nice for Aliya. Besides it will probably end up on the floor of her closet in a few months anyways.

Notice Joshua is starting to roll :)

Good Vibrations
Last night as I finished feeding Joshua, I laid him back in his bassinet that sits by my bed. As I turned on the vibrating option on the bassinet, I wondered...why does my bed not have a vibrating option?
Seriously, that would be a kick-arse feature on a bed. They sell 'sleep number' beds and adjustable beds...why not vibrating beds?
So, I laid there for a while thinking how nice it would be to have a big, king-sized vibrating bed. Then I rolled Joshua's bassinet close to my bed where the vibrations transfered to my mattress and fell asleep....to my home-made vibrating bed!
